IMPORTANCE OF PRAYER IN PURPOSEFUL LIVING

Having checked the life of our Lord Jesus Christ, we saw in a careful study of his life in  the fulfillment of His divine assignment here on earth we saw how He lived a life of prayer, we saw how He taught His disciples how to pray Matthew 6:6-15. We have learned from the Scriptures that Jesus was not teaching in words alone but in His actions also, Acts 1:1, if a man will be accurate in fulfilling his purpose on earth, he must learn the way of prayer because just praying is not enough, without accurate e knowledge and direction, one can be praying amiss especially when it is not in accordance to our divinely structured assignment James 4:3.

Jesus spoke a parable to teach the people of His days to achieve a goal in Luke 18 that MEN OUGHT ALWAYS TO PRAY AND NOT TO FAINT! We saw how Jesus  withdrew Himself from even His disciples to pray in solitude. Luke 22:41, Matt 14:23.

He intends that every man who has become an abode for His Holy Spirit will be a habitation of prayer Matt 21:13.

If we must say this more, Jesus prayed all night as His usual, Luke 5:16 and we saw it in the life of the Apostle as they journeyed in the commandment He had given them. Acts 2:42.

DISCOVER YOURSELF

I know you have been told quite a number of time to BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, In fact I am also telling you today, believe in yourself. But do you know the reason you find it so hard to do so?

You have not Discover Yourself! No natural man ever believes in what he has not seen. So, you need to first discover yourself (I mean you must get to know and understand your purpose of existence) before Believing it. Do you know how? I will tell you. Call on God, Seek His face! God is your source and sustainer. If you come and call unto Him, He will show you great and mighty things which you do not know about life. Be rest assured that if you seek Him with your heart, you will find Him and in turn get the meaning to your purpose on Earth. Then you can begin to believe in yourself.

Maturity and Leadership in Christian perspectives

Maturity and leadership are two important qualities that are essential for a successful Christian life. Maturity is the ability to make wise decisions and take responsibility for one’s actions. Leadership is the ability to lead others in a positive direction and to inspire them to do their best. Both of these qualities are essential for a Christian to live a life of faith and service to God.

The Bible is full of examples of mature and effective leaders. Moses was a leader who was able to lead the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt and into the Promised Land. He was a leader who was able to make difficult decisions and take responsibility for his actions. He was also a leader who was able to inspire others to follow him and to do their best.

The Bible also speaks of the importance of maturity and leadership in the Christian life. In 1 Timothy 4:12, Paul writes, “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” Paul is encouraging Timothy to be a mature and responsible leader in the church. He is also encouraging him to be an example to others in his speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity.

In addition, the Bible speaks of the importance of humility and servanthood in leadership. In Philippians 2:3-4, Paul writes, “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.” Paul is encouraging us to be humble and to serve others in our leadership.

Finally, the Bible speaks of the importance of wisdom and discernment in leadership. In Proverbs 16:9, it says, “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” This verse reminds us that we should seek God’s wisdom and discernment in our decisions and actions. We should not rely solely on our own understanding, but should seek God’s guidance in all that we do.

Maturity and leadership are essential qualities for a successful Christian life. The Bible is full of examples of mature and effective leaders who were able to make wise decisions and take responsibility for their actions. It also speaks of the importance of humility and servanthood in leadership, as well as the importance of seeking God’s wisdom and discernment in all that we do. By following these biblical principles, we can become mature and effective leaders in our own lives and in the lives of those around us.
